Things are always a bit different down under, you drink schooners instead of pints, kangaroos are pets and well odd looking bulls sell for a lot of money!
The braham week sales in Queensland a state in the countries north east was held this week with record breaking figures.
Braham’s are an Asian breed of cattle noted for their long skins ears and dolaps, heat resistant they are ideally suited to the Australian climate.
The prize winning bull El Toro was bred by the Johnson family at Jomanda Stud outside Grafton in New South Wales. El Toro was bought by the Kent family of Queensland for $150,000. (101,000 euro)
The previous record had been $90,000. The braham week sales was said to have had 36000 bulls pass through it with a total sale of $9,670,00.
