The first online sale at Newport Mart on Thursday (May 21st) was a ‘great success’, according to a mart spokesperson.
They reported a brisk trade for all stock, with bullocks reaching €970/head and cows reaching €890/head.
Bullocks:
- 3 AA – 455kg – €970;
- CH – 400kg – €950;
- CH – 430kg – €950;
- LM – 350kg – €910;
- 3 CH – 325kg – €860;
- 3 AA – 453kg – €860;
- 2 HE – 415kg – €830;
- 2 HE – 457kg – €820;
- CH – 290kg – €800;
- CH – 340kg – €790.
Cows:
- FR – 715kg – €890;
- AA – 605kg – €850;
- FR – 615kg – €710;
- FR – 570kg – €600.
Heifers:
