Farmers can recycle their farm waste plastic at one of the Irish Farm Film Producers’ Group’s 225 bring centres this year.
All dates and sites have been confirmed for Connacht, Co. Kerry, Co. Limerick, Co. Wexford, Co. Wicklow, Co. Carlow and Kilkenny, with further details to be announced shortly, according to the IFFPG.
Acceptable items include:
- Silage plastic (Wrap & Sheeting Loose ideally);
- Netting/Twine (Bagged);
- ½-ton fertiliser/feed bags with liners removed (Bagged);
- Small fertiliser/feed bags & 1/2 ton-liners) (Bagged);
- Triple-rinsed pesticide cans (Bagged).
Releasing a statement, the IFFPG said: “Remember farm plastic recycling is an important part of being cross-compliant and for Bord Bia inspections.”
“There are a few changes this year, with some swaps and new additional sites.” The spokesperson added.
