ABP buy Polish beef plant
The ABP empire has grown again this week with news of its acquisition of Polish meat processor Sklodowsky.
The factory will see Goodman’s empire increase its Polish kill to 250,000 cattle.
The company will now employ over 600 people in Poland. The purchase brings the total number of Polish plants under ABP control to three. The group bought has previously bought a plant in 2011 and 2013.
The news comes on the back of the approved ABP/Slaney deal in Ireland which was ruled as fair and not in breach of competition by the European Commission’s Competition Authority.
