China, Chile and Egypt have lifted their temporary bans on Brazilian meat. The bans came into effect last week after it was uncovered that Brazil had exported rotten meat.
The Brazilian government released a statement about the Chinese ban saying:
It took only preventive measures to ensure that we had the opportunity to provide all necessary explanations.’
Brazil is the largest beef producer and exporter in the world.
Chile and Egypt have lifted their ban on Brazilian meat but Chile will continue a suspension of the 21 processors named in the investigation.
The EU have not yet lifted their ban.
