RTE hit agricultural show ‘Big Week on the Farm’ is back for its third series and this year the team are heading to Co. Waterford.
As part of this year’s series, Producers are looking to recruit a young person with an interest in animals and agriculture to try their hand at working as a farm trainee in the run-up to, and during, the live show.
Candidates will be granted the opportunity to work on a busy dairy farm, train in milking, calf rearing and calving, with full supervision with farm mentoring will be provided. This is a paid trainee role and most suitable for someone with no farm experience but a real interest in the inner workings of an Irish farmyard.
Big Week on The Farm gives the nation real-time access to the incredible lives of Ireland’s farm animals and farmers. The programme, which will broadcast live for five nights in April on RTE One highlights how the land comes to life, with a unique blend of beautiful wildlife footage, fun and educational features and audience interaction.
Interested applicants can email firstname.lastname@example.org with Farm Trainee in the subject line. Start date of 22nd March.
