Beef Plan Movement is insisting that beef factory quotes should increase in Ireland as prices have “moved up significantly” in England and Scotland.
In a statement released to That’s Farming, it said: “Cattle prices in England and Scotland have moved up significantly, as a result of this, Beef Plan Movement are insisting that the prices in Ireland should also move up”
“Beef Plan is encouraging every beef farmer in the country not to sell cattle next week below the following prices.”
- Base heifers - €4.00/kg;
- Base steers - €3.90/kg;
- Under-24-month-old Bulls (U grade) - €3.75/kg;
- Under-24-month-old bulls (R grade) - €3.65/kg;
- Under-16-month-old bulls on-grid - €3.75/kg.
