Over 8,000 farmers have joined Beef Plan Group via WhatsApp, while hundreds of supporters have signed-up via SMS, according to the group's spokesperson and chairman, Eamon Corley.
Releasing a statement on WhatsApp, Eamon Corley encouraged all members of the movement to invite one new person per day for three days.
“I firmly believe and I am not alone in my thoughts that the biggest tasks we have in getting paid for our work is to get 40,000 farmers with the same desire.”
“If we do get 40,000 committed farmers who want to get paid for their work and are prepared to do a little to make it happen, well then achieving the targets of this plan will be the easy bit,” Eamon stressed.
