Beef quotes remain relatively unchanged this week, with the base price for steers and heifers circling around €3.60/kg.
It has been reported that some plants are paying 5c/kg above quoted prices.
€3.60/kg is also on the table for R/U grade bulls in a limited number of plants, while cull cows are ranging from €2.80-€3.20/kg.
Beef kill
The national beef kill stood at 36,208 (including 26 calves), during the week commencing June 8th, according to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine’s database.
