A bachelor cattle and sheep farmer, aged in his 60s, has died following a house fire.
The incident occurred in the Moylough area of Co. Galway on Saturday morning (July 11th).
Fire services attended the scene and extinguished the fire after the alarm was raised at approximately 5am.
“The body of one male, aged in his 60s, was discovered deceased in the house.” a Garda spokesperson said in a statement.
“His body remains at the scene which is currently preserved for examination by local scene of crime officers.”
The local coroner has been notified, according to Gardaí.
