Aurivo has announced that the second annual Gaffney and Mulleady Agri, Food and Nutrition scholarships opened for applications on March, 29th, 2018.
Two scholarships are available each to the value of €2,500(total €5,000) the first- Gaffney Agriculture, Food & Nutrition scholarship sponsored by Aurivo and the second - Mulleady Agriculture, Food & Nutrition scholarship sponsored by Aurivo.
The scholarships were established in 2017 in memory of the late Paddy Gaffney and Sean Mulleady who tragically died in Aurivo’s Longford store in 2013.
To summarise, some of the key eligibility requirements; the scholarship will be provided for any one of 12 undergraduate Agriculture, Food & Nutrition programmes in UCD or another level-7 or level-8 agri/food related degree programme in an accredited third-level institution. The course must also be a bachelor’s degree- minimum level-7; applicants must be a first-time student for a third-level undergraduate course and must attend the programme commenced in the 2018/2019 academic year. Co.Sligo native Sarah Burke and Thomas Whyte from Co. Longford were the inaugural recipients of the scholarships and each received a €2,500 bursary to attend University College Dublin to study Agricultural Science.
