Mrs Anna May McHugh, the Managing Director of the National Ploughing Championships, is set to appear on RTE’s Late Late show this evening.
Mrs. McHugh will be a guest of Ryan’s tonight as she discusses the upcoming Ploughing championships, September 19th to 21st, her role in the success of the three day festival and her new book which was to be released this month.
The Managing director has been working in the role for the past 66 years and still has huge influence on the championships organisation. She will discuss with Mr. Tubridy in length her new autobiography, ‘Anna May McHugh: Queen of ploughing - My story’. The book gives an insight into her background in the industry and how she came to be the unofficial queen of the ploughing championships. It was released yesterday, Thursday September 7th.
The book also gives a detailed account of how she went from her first job as a secretary for the Ploughing Association to the job she now holds. The story delves into her leadership through the years and shows her forward thinking nature in great detail.
She will also discuss with Ryan the upcoming Championships, what they are expecting from this years show and what will be on offer this year. It promises to be an interesting interview, with the unofficial queen of the ploughing.
