Aitchison have exclusively announced, through us, the latest in New Zealand innovation with the launch of the Aitchison Seedmatic 4000 series to the Irish market.
Featuring the new Aitchison slimline castings and inverted T-boot, as well as a variable speed gearbox, the 4000 series ensures seeds of all sizes and volumes are handled effortlessly, resulting in more accurate seeding.
Ross Simpson, owner of Aitchison, emphasised the suitability of his products to the Irish market: “Our machinery is manufactured in a way that is perfectly suited to the Irish market. Flexibility, proven results and the sturdy construction of everything we produce are our hallmarks. Aitchison has been providing seed drills and spreaders to the Irish market for many years, and we will further expand on this with Aitchison agricultural equipment.”
“We are delighted to be returning to the Ploughing this year after an excellent 2016, and looking forward to showcasing in Tullamore as we expand our Irish operations.”, he added.
Aitchison will be increasing their presence in Ireland after the Ploughing this year, aiming to meet with their customers here, with more than 200 drills already in operation in Ireland.
Support and distribution for Irish farmers is provided through a soon to be announced distributor, with an assembly and parts facility in the UK for further backup. Aitchison Agri Ltd. is part of Reese Agri, which produces two other branded product groups, under Agrispread and Reese/UFO.
Aitchison will be exhibiting two products at the National Ploughing Championships this year, bringing New Zealand’s best machinery to Irish customers:
- Aitchison Seedmatic 4020C, from the 4000 series that has a seed capacity of 700 litres, can penetrate hard and rocky, as well as cultivated soils, to bulk up existing pastures or sow new crops.
- Aitchison Agrispred AFS-GR460 is the newest model of ATV spreader from the first company in the world to design and build a tow behind fertiliser spreader for ATV bikes. Its polyethylene hopper is capable of holding up to 460 litres, and its low centre of gravity provides greater safety. See picture below.
Aitchison will showcase in the New Zealand Pavilion, which will be located at stand 268, Row 11, Block 3 at the National Ploughing Championships from 19-21 September 2017, in Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
