Over 300 head of cattle on offer in Tullow on Friday and the trade remains steady on last week with very lively demand for Beef and forward type cattle. The sale achieved a full clearance of all stock.
Speaking to That’s Farming, Eric Driver, Manager of Tullow Mart said:
“It was another positive sale, with beef and stores holding a good honest steady trade. A notable number of buyers for grass are starting to appear around the ring, even though the weather would suggest that they would be out, but they are starting to get a feel of where the spring market is going to be.”
“In a time of uncertainty with beef as the factories are playing around with prices, we were glad to see the trade remains steady, with a good demand for all classes of cattle,” Eric told Catherina of That’s Farming.
