65 calves on offer
Strong FR & Continental calves continue to hold a steady trade while the lighter shipping calves meet a resistance.
Continental bulls sold from €240 for the Hereford and Angus types up to €470 for the LM types today with Hereford and Angus heifers selling from €200 up to €415 for the LM types.
Stronger types sold from €100 up to €250 for reared FR types while shipping calves sold from €30 up to €80 with well fed calves in demand.

Beef and forward bullocks
Sold from €650 to €960 with the kg with fleshy bullocks specially in demand while aged plain types meeting a harder trade.
Beef and forward heifers
Sold from €600 with the kg up to €940 while well shaped LM and CH heifers met with a very demanding trade.
Over 500kg continue to meet a farmer trade with prices ranging from €400 with the kg for FR types up to €880 with the kg for quality U grade bullocks.
Lighter bullocks under 500kg sold from €1.8 per kg for the FR types up to €720 with the kg for higher quality lots
Sold from €2 per kg all the way up to €3.40 with the majority selling from €550 to €670 with the kg
Numbers larger than last week with the FR type cows selling from €250 with the kg up to €660 with the kg for the heavy continental types.
In calf cows
Sold from €1400 to €1760 due in March/April while aged cows with calves at foot sold from €1050 up to €1550
