A big turnout of cattle at Tuam Mart on Monday (February 25th), with an excellent trade for all stock, according to Marian Devane - Manager.
The manager noted that bullocks met with great demand from local farmers and Midland customers, while there was a strong trade for cull cows, with a 785kg entry making €1,375.
“There was great demand for weanlings which reflected on the prices paid,” Marian said following the general cattle sale.

Weanling Bulls made from €2.50/kg up to €3.41kg.
- CHX - 340KG - €1160;

- LMX - 275KG - €865.
Weanling Heifers sold from €2.66/kg up to €3.19/kg.
- BBX - 288KG - €920;
- CHX - 350KG - €1060.
On Tuesday, Lambs fetched up to €71 with the weight, with old ewes realised €118 each.
