There was a flying trade for all types of cattle at Tuam Mart on Monday (April 1st), according to Marion Devane – Manager.
There was a “strong trade” for cull cows with a top call of €1,290 recorded for an entry weighing 655kg.
Bullocks made up to €855 with the weight
- CHX - 685KG - €1540;
- LMX - 740KG - €1540;
- LMX - 450KG - €1190.
Heifers sold for up to €775 with the weight
- LMX - 535KG - €1310;
- CHX - 510KG - €1240.
- LMX - 385kg - €925.
- LMX - 345kg - €900.
On Tuesday, lambs realised €74 with the weight, while old ewes pushed up to €121 each and ewes with lambs at foot topped out at €238.
- 58kg - €132 - €2.27/kg;
- 54kg - €127 - €2.35/kg.
