‘The biggest sale in over 20 years’

Just over 800 entries went under the hammer at Ennis Mart on Monday, July 20th, according to a spokesperson.

“The biggest sale in over 20 years with just over 800 on offer. Again, large entries of store lambs and lambs in the 40kg to 45kg bracket.”

Lambs averaged €2.39/kg which is running approximately 30c/kg ahead of last year, the spokesperson added. “Store lambs were a strong trade but not quite as dear as last week.”
