Over 14,000 lambs sold at mart

Lairg, United Auctions sold some 14,365 lambs at their first sale of NCCs whilst operating under Scottish Government’s guidance and 2m social distancing on Tuesday, August 11th.

10,258 wether lambs sold to average £59.29 (+£7.22 on the year) for 884 more sold, selling to a top of £83.50 for TexX from M McDonald, Auchentoul Cottage, Kinbrace.

Hill NCC sold to £81 from A Campbell, Millhouse, Thurso; Park type NCC sold to £80.50 from A McKay, South Balkeith, Tain

3,837 ewe lambs sold to average £73.04 (+£13.53 on the year) for 360 more sold, selling to a top of £210 for a pen from Dunbeath Farms, Dunbeath and to £200 from Joyce Campbell, Armadale, Thurso
