Kilkenny Mart’s tender sale of sheep, which was held on Monday (April 20th), proved to be a “lively affair”, according to George Candler.
The mart’s auctioneer pointed out that some 400 lots met with an excellent trade all-round, which resulted in a full clearance.
Butcher lambs – €2.65-€3.33/kg or €130-€146/head;
