Some 1235 entries, including 375 calves and 170 dry cows, went under the hammer at Carnew Mart on Saturday, February 22nd, according to David Quinn.
The mart manager reported that cattle met an outstanding demand for all classes with a brisk trade leading to a full clearance.
“Exporters were very active for calves with prices of FR calves up €10-€20/head on last week,” Quinn explained.
