Top-quality cull cows exceed €2.00/kg at Castlerea

Castlerea Mart’s first sale of 2020 attracted some 280 cattle, according to its manager, Brendan Egan. “A bright start to the trade and excellent demand for all classes of stock.”

Egan noted that quality store bullocks and heifers were in strong demand, while the dry cow trade remained strong also with the top-quality cows exceeding €2.00/kg.

Runners and breeding stock, he added, noticed strong demand also resulting in a good clearance.

Bullocks:

Heifers:
