Quality forward-store cattle met with an improved trade, according to Brendan Egan. Increased grass growth attracted additional buyers to the mart.

Increased grass growth and renewed farmer activity, resulted in an improved trade at Castlerea Mart, according to Brendan Egan - Manager.

Quality forward store cattle met with increased demand as some 550 cattle went under the hammer at Thursday’s sale.

Good clearances were reported in the bullock; heifer; cull cows and breeding stock rings.

The manager noted that weanling numbers are starting to increase with good demand on offer equally for the quality lots.
