Lambs prices were slightly easier than the previous week at Loughrea Mart’s most recent sale, according to a spokesperson.
They said that despite this, returns were “much better” than the corresponding period last year with a top call of €116 recorded for entries weighing 49.5kg.

- 45kgs – €112;
- 48kg – €115;
- 49.5kg – €118;
- 50kgs – €115.
Ewe lambs:
- 43kgs – €110;
- 46.5kg – €116.
