Drinking 15 pints per day is the secret to a long and happy life, according to a retired cattle dealer and farmer.
Dennis Joseph McNamara (88) made the claim during an interview with Meanwhile in Ireland News earlier this year.
A local resident described the Kildare native as a “horse of a man for his age”.
The Irish satirical website calculated that taking an average price of €1.50 for a pint over the seventy or so years of drinking, McNamara has spent more than €650,000 on pints.
“I suppose between the pints and curry chips, I live a good clean life.” he concluded.
