WATCH - Save the Turf appeal

This hilarious video was posted by Jimmy Connell on Facebook on Wednesday, May 30th, calling on people to think of the turf this summer.

In the hilarious video, which has already been viewed over 38,000 times, Jimmy appeals to the emotions of the nation in a bid to ‘save the turf’. The bog, located in the Midlands, can be seen littered with rows of turf, which Jimmy says was cut over six weeks ago.

“Rows of peat cut over six weeks ago and as of yet, it remains untouched. We have had unprecedented heatwaves in the last few weeks, but still no-one has come to tend to them We are living in an age where people simply don’t care,”, Jimmy said.

The camera then pans to a shot of bagged turf, saved in 2017.

“Never brought home, bagged and abandoned.”, Jimmy noted.

“It's truly shocking.”, he added.

Jimmy then made one final appeal to the owner of the turf, to save it as soon as possible.

“Please, please, if you own this turf get to the bog as soon as you can. Please, for the turfs sake or as fellas would say, for peat's sake,”, he concluded.

The hilarious mock-appeal video has gone viral since being posted on Wednesday and the Bog-man followed it up with another video yesterday, which you can see below. In the video, he ‘meets’ the man who owns the turf, in what is a truly hilarious sequel!
