This week is not starting off good, with two weather warnings in place until Tuesday, but how will the rest of the week fare? Read the forecast in full below.

To kick off the week, two status yellow weather warnings have been put in place, as reported by us here

Monday - The two warnings come into effect 9 am Monday morning, with rainfall of up to 50mm expected and gusts expected to reach up to 110km per hour in places. Besides that, It will be dry and bright in many places, to begin with. Cloud will eventually thicken with rain developing along Atlantic coastal counties. Winds will be strong and southerly, with these winds and rain spreading eastwards to most areas and becoming heavy.

It will be a very wet and windy evening, with some spot flooding expected and winds strong o gale force, worse in coastal and hilly regions. Temperatures will range from 11 to 13 degrees.
Monday night will continue to be wet and windy, with severe gusts forecast. Heavy rain will continue, with a risk of local flooding. This rain will subside and become more scattered later in the night, with temperatures overnight of 9 to 10 degrees.

Tuesday - It will be wet to begin with on Tuesday, as the two weather warnings lapse at 6am. Any remaining rain will clear early and it will brighten up. There will be the occasional shower on Tuesday, with some sunny spells too. Winds will continue to be strong and gusty but will subside as the day progresses. Temperatures should range from 13 to 16 degrees Celsius.
Showers will die away on Tuesday night and it will be dry in many places overnight but rain will affect Atlantic coastal counties.

Wednesday - There will be further rain on Wednesday morning in western counties, though this will become mostly confined to western coastal areas in the afternoon. It should remain dry elsewhere in the country and be an overall bright day, although cloudy. It will be very mild, with high temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees. It will though remain breezy, with gusty southerly breezes.

Thursday - Early forecasts from Met Éireann suggest that it will be mostly dry and bright on Thursday with lighter winds and afternoon temperatures of 14 to 17 or possibly 18 degrees Celsius.

Friday - It is expected to be a bit cooler on Friday with a few showers, especially in northern counties but many places will be dry and bright. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees Celsius.
