It’s a mixed day today with a few bright short sunny spells in the North and east of the country, that will give way to some rain and drizzle in the south and western coastal coutnies becoming more widespread as the evening goes on.
Tonight will be misty and cloudy but fair with some scattering of rain the south and west
Our friends at Met Eireann have the weekend weather and its not all that bad;
Rain, drizzle and any fog in eastern and northern areas, clearing later Saturday morning. Most places having a good deal of dry weather, with a mix of cloudy spells and occasional bright or short sunny periods. But some scattered showers will develop. Top temperatures 11 to 13 maybe 14 C. Winds mainly moderate southwest to westerly.
Temperatures normal or a little above. A reasonable amount of dry weather, with bright spells at times, but a lot of cloud is expected and some outbreaks of rain are expected at times also.
Saturday Night: Mostly dry overnight. Some clear spells for a time, mainly over parts of Leinster, with some grass frost locally and temperatures down to 2 to 4 C. But becoming cloudy and misty elsewhere, with lows between 5 and 7 C. Some scattered patches of drizzle and light rain will develop later in Atlantic coastal counties also.
SUNDAY: Some bright or short sunny spells on Sunday, mainly in eastern areas during the morning. But rather cloudy overall, with some patches of light rain or drizzle at times. These mainly in western areas, with hills and coasts most at risk, but some drizzle possible elsewhere later in the day. Top temperatures of 10 to 13 possibly 14 C., in moderate to fresh southwesterly breezes. Mild and misty overnight, some patches of drizzle, but dry spells too. Lows of 8 or 9 C.
