Met Éireann have today issued a status yellow weather warning.
The warning is in place from 2pm today up until Tuesday afternoon next week. Storm force winds have been predicted, as the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia pass close by the country. This will happen on Monday, with a high level of winds and rain expected.
Very high seas have also been predicted and farmers must be warned to ensure their stock are safe from the harsh conditions. Winds are expected to reach up to 120 k/per hour. We will keep you updated as we hear more.
