A status yellow weather alert has been issued parts of the country today.
Met Éireann has issued a warning for counties Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Kerry. These four counties can expect to witness southerly winds of 50 to 65 km/h. Met Éireann has said that gusts could potentially reach 90 to 110 km/h along coastal areas today.
The warning was issued yesterday evening and is in place until 11pm tonight. (Wednesday)
Second Status Yellow Weather Alert
A second status yellow weather alert has also been issued.
Ahead of Storm Caroline, a wind warning is also in place for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry. Met Éireann said that north-west winds of 55 to 65 should be expected to gust of wind within 100 to 110 km/h. Winds will be strongest in coastal areas and over higher ground.
