A truck driving from Strabane to Derry has lost some of its load, with reports of animal remains now littering the roads.
A warning was issued to motorists by @PoliceServiceNI on Twitter at approximately 6am this morning, July 11th, of a lorry having shed some of its load on the road Strabane to Derry road in Derry city.
The PSNI warned that the lorry was carrying animal body parts, some of which are now on the roads. The areas affected this morning as GT Northern Link/Bradley Way/Limavady Road/Urney Road/Duke Street.
The PSNI say the relevant agencies have been informed, though they have warned motorists in the area to exercise caution.
“Motorists are asked to drive with caution when using these roads”, their post read.
The spillage is said to have made road conditions very slippery, though the majority of the mess is said to have been cleaned up. The truck driver is said to be “Offal-y” sorry.
