Tonight, get yourself down to the Longford Arms Hotel, Longford for Take Me Out, an event hosted by Longford Macra Na Feirme.
Raffle on the night, followed by refreshments. Proceeds from the raffle will go to Little Max Foundation. Tickets are €20 and €15 for Macra members. 8pm until late!

· NYF Dublin – 3 Day Citywide Festival- 30th December- 1st January
The city is set to come alive for New Year's festivities, a perfect opportunity to celebrate with family and friends. Bringing together some of the country's best talents, NYF Dublin offers an array of activities ideal for the family.
Participants in this year's proceedings will be provided with the opportunity to ring in the New Year at the 3Countdown Concert at St Stephen's Green South.
On New Year’s Eve, attendees can witness the incredible Sky Dance at the Custom House, a spectacular aerial outdoor performance by Fidget Feet, taking place watch in amazement over three days as the Custom House comes alive with the Luminosity 3D animations.
Other free events include the NYF Dublin music trail, walking trails, pop up street performances and several other cultural events throughout the city.

· New Year’s Ball
Carrigaline Macra Na Feirme will host a New Year’s Eve Ball on Saturday 31st December 2016. The event will kick-off at 18:30.
The Rochestown Park Hotel, Douglas, Cork will ring in the new year, with exceptional cuisine and live entertainment.
The festivities will begin with a Champagne Drinks Reception at 6.30pm, followed by a five-course meal at Kilteagan Suite.
“Gaelic Brew”, a four piece band based in Cork, renowned for rock, pop and Irish music will provide musical entertainment for the night.
DJ Peter Bowles will rock the night away until the early hours of the morning. Special accommodation rates are available for the night.
1st January- The Second John Joe Calnan Memorial Run
On Sunday 1st January, New Year’s Day, Nobber Vintage Club will host the second John Joe Calnan Memorial Tractor Run, in Co. Meath.
The event now is its second year is for the late John Joe who was one of the founding members of Nobber Vintage Club.
Departure will occur at 11:30am at the old National School, Nobber. Plaque for all drivers, open to all vintage & classic vehicles. Entry €10 per person.
New Year’s Day- Castlecomer Wellie Race 2017
Farmers get the wellies at the ready, the annual Castlecomer Wellie Race Day is calendared for New Year’s Day in Co. Kilkenny.
With the first race taking place all the way back in 1981, participants race over a 5km circuit of roads wearing Wellingtons!
The race is preceded by a parade through the streets of Castlecomer, with floats created by local businesses and community groups, often on topical themes.
