Cross border raid finds hundreds of animals
A farm on the border has been raided as part of a cross border operation and has found hundreds of animals the BBC has reported.
300 animals are being inspected to determine ownership.
35 cows and 15 sheep were found at the farm in South Armagh while 250 sheep were found in a nearby farm in Monaghan.
More than 20 police were involved in the search.
The PSNI also found ear tags on the farm which did not belong to the animals in the sheds.
One of the members of the PSNI told the BBC that the raid "disrupts this type of activity - this is a big footprint into this area today in relation to the viability and the traceability of our animals - which end up on our tables," he said.
