The largest privately-owned cattle station has been put on the market, in what could be one of the biggest farm sale deals of the century!
The station, owned by Consolidated Pastoral Company, has been put up for sale, for a price in the excess of $900,000! The company keep over 400,000 head of cattle, across their 16 stations. The land extends over 5.5 million hectares, with two feedlots in Indonesia also included in the sale!
It is thought that there will be plenty of interest in the mass cattle operation, with the property on offer as one lot, or individual lots. The farms are located in Northern Australia and are owned currently by CPC’s owner, Terra Firma.
Recent rumours have suggested that Chinese businessmen are interested in taking the reins, though there has been no firm interest as of yet. Should the massive property sell for in excess of the one-billion-dollar barrier, then it would eclipse the previous highest priced farming property in the country’s history.
Wouldn’t it be nice to own 5.5 million hectares of top quality land and be able to say you are one of the world’s biggest farmers? Talk about your road frontage!Sure what is a billion dollars between friends!
