North-West Women in Farming(NWWFI) will play host to their first event of the 2018 calendar next week. The meeting will take place on Thursday, May, 24th at 7.30pm at CoLab, Letterkenny.
The group formed as part of a national frame to bring a network of like-minded women together, give them an opportunity to meet socially; share their experience; learn through training and from each other; and provide information on key topics.
A panel of five guest speakers will lead proceedings at the upcoming event- Geraldine O’Sullivan, Executive Secretary IFA Farm Family and Social Affairs Committee: on Pensions, Fair Deals and Farm Family matters; Stella McGroarty of STELLA Boutique Donegal Town on how farming roots has shaped her business ventures; Nicola McLaughlin- farmer; Donna Maskery: The importance of well-being and stress control; and Joanne Gallagher who will discuss LYIT’s Ag. Science programme.

“Since its inception just a year ago, we have delivered a number of events including a highly successful launch event with a variety of key speakers, we have delivered several of farm safety events, visited parliament in Brussels and held numerous meetings where key speakers presented information to encourage and inspire.”
