Today, Thursday October 12th is earmarked as National Women’s Enterprise Day. The annual initiative run by Local Enterprise Offices and backed by Enterprise Ireland and the Local Authorities Network, aims to encourage women to step forward and “open doors to next markets.”
National Women’s Enterprise Days strives to encourage women to establish their own businesses and aims to increase recognition that values the contributions and efforts of female entrepreneurs.
To mark the event, LEO’s are hosting a total of fifteen events all around Ireland.
Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Carlow, Laois, Tipperary, Cork, Cavan, Monaghan, Meath, Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow and Waterford are all set to be a hive of activity.
The day celebrates the exceptional efforts of women in business, something that is strongly part of ethos here at That’s Farming.
We bring you our weekly Women in Ag series, which showcases the inspirational stories of women that are running admirable Agricultural enterprises, let that be farming or agri-business orientated.
