Residents in the county of Cork have been warned to lock up their homes, after a number of houses were burgled at the weekend.
Gardaí have issued a warning to all Cork residents to take caution, after there were six reported break-ins between 4pm and 9pm last Friday, as reported in the Irish Times. Since October there has been in excess of 40 robberies reported.
It is believed that the latest thefts were carried out by a traveling crime gang, with the organised group using powerful vehicles in their quest. They are believed to have traveled from Dublin to identify any homes where the owners were not in.
Anyone with any information is urged to do their part and help stop rural crime, by contacting Cork Gardaí.
