Some of the finest farmers to be found on Irish soil have manned up, taken off their tops, and posed for the eagerly awaited annual production of Irish Farmer Calendar 2018.
Following hot on the heels of other successful previous productions, now in its ninth year, the 2018 calendar features an array of truly eye-catching agriculturists from all across Ireland.
Dundrum’s Ciara Ryan is bringing us the gem of a calendar once again, with some proceeds from the calendar sales going to Bothar.
Already the calendar is flying off the shelves, with the first order coming from Tucson, Arizona, United States.
The 2018 calendar features models hailing from Cork, Kilkenny, Wexford, Tipperary, Roscommon, Derry and Dublin.
Goats, hens, a French bulldog, sheep, rabbits, peacocks and pigs have also made the cut.
The calendar was shot at Croan Cottages and farm in Kilkenny by photographers Jan Golden and Ian Shipley.
Skyrocketing to success
Speaking with That’s Farming, Ciara Ryan, creator of the calendar series said:
“After 9 years the calendar is still going strong and more popular than ever. We're delighted with the response so far this year which has exceeded our expectations. Here's hoping the farmers top the calendar charts for a 3rd year in a row.” Ciara explained.
The calendar topped the Irish Calendar charts in 2015 and 2016, beating One Direction.
A book has since been released from a deal with a major US publisher.
