Fancy getting your hands on 1000's of products for Farm, Pet & Garden? Do you want to be in with a chance to win a €1,000 shopping spree? Check out this new online store!

Farmers demonstrate a strong take-up of online shopping, according to a new survey conducted by Glanbia Ireland.

In response to the findings, Glanbia Ireland has further invested in its online platform GlanbiaConnect.com with a major expansion of its online store. The new online store from Ireland’s largest agri-retailer, which officially launches this week, delivers a market-leading offering to farmers as well as gardeners and pet owners, throughout Ireland.

Commenting on the launch of the new online store, James Byrne, Marketing Manager for E-commerce for Glanbia Agribusiness said, “Farmers are busier than ever and we aim to support them by continuing to improve our online services. Our new online shop has a vastly improved design and a host of new features to make shopping online a hassle-free experience. We’re delighted to bring our full product range from Ireland’ largest farmer-owned co-operative and make it available to farmers, gardeners and pet owners throughout Ireland.”

To mark the launch of the new online store, Glanbia Ireland are running a competition by offering yet another lucky winner a €1,000 Shopping Spree on GlanbiaConnect.com. You can be in with the chance of winning this prize by filling out the below form.

Farmers Shopping Online

Glanbia’s own research shows a growing demand from farmers for high-quality online services and proof that the farming sector is taking the lead in embracing new technologies and increasingly doing business digitally.

The survey found that almost 80% of farmers use their smartphones primarily when accessing the internet and 47% of dairy farmers view their milk production information online on a daily basis. The top three most important factors for farmers when shopping online are secure payments (81%), an easy to use site (56%) and detailed product information (52%).

Convenience and accessibility are at the centre of the offering and the online store is designed to be fully accessible on mobile devices with user-friendly navigation and advanced search capabilities. Customers can pay with credit card or link an existing Glanbia credit facility to their account.

GlanbiaConnect has also been awarded with the Retail Excellence Ireland Trustmark which certifies that the online shop has passed a European standard of excellence ensuring they provide efficient user experiences and process payments securely.

Glanbia Agribusiness, a division of Glanbia Ireland, comprises a network of 53 retail stores, including 13 CountryLife stores, the network of award-winning garden centres and country stores. Gain Animal Nutrition from Glanbia is Ireland’s number one animal feed brand, for the farm, equine and pet sectors.
