A farmer, aged 49, has died after a bull mauled him to death, as reported by the DailyMail.co..uk.
The incident occurred in Dunkeld, Victoria, and happened while the man was weighing cattle. The man, who works with Warrnambool Midfield Meats, was killed when one of the bulls turned angry and aggressive.
The bull was a large Friesian steer, said to weigh in excess of 600kgs. The incident occurred at the farm, at 9:30 am on Friday. Police described the bull as “angry” and “aggressive”. The also confirmed it had been put down after the fatal incident.
The man had gotten himself away from the cattle yard after the attack, but police say he then passed out unconscious and then died as a result of the injuries suffered.
“'He suffered fatal injuries. The man has managed to get out of the yards and was near the loading ramp. When located he was unconscious and not breathing and was unable to be revived,” said Sergeant David Walkley of Hamilton police.
