The Department of Agriculture has extended the deadline for completion of farmers’ beef carbon navigator.
The department has this week sent out reminders of the Beef Data and Genomics Programme for 2016, as 4,000 farmers still haven’t completed the beef carbon navigator which should be completed with the farmers’ advisor. The official deadline was Halloween on October 31st, but the deadline has now been extended to November 30th.
The Carbon Navigator is a part of the Beef Data and Genomics Programme (BDGP), and your data can be managed online on www.agriculture.gov.ie. Here you can access an online farm management package, where you can measure your farm’s potential environmental gains. Farmers have to complete the carbon navigator as part of the programme or else delays on payments will be incurred.
