Owners of a 1000-cow farm in Te Puke, North Island of New Zealand are on the hunt for two farm assistants for the coming season.
The job advisement posted on Facebook by Thomas Chatfield outlined that the candidates must have some farming experience. The employer is keen to stress that the job opportunity is available to those who do not have a dairying background also.
The roster is 12 days on, 2-days off until the end of mating, then 11 hours on and 3-hours off –a typical working week is 55hr/week.
Accommodation will be provided and the salary will be dependent on experience but will be in the region of 50,000/year NZD. The farm is located 20-minutes from one of the best beaches in NZ Mount Maunganui and is also in close proximity to lakes and bush.
