Name: Conor Halpin
Location: Co. Westmeath.
When did you start farming? I started farming I when I was around six or seven. From a very young age, I have always had a keen eye for photography too and that is where my main passion lies.
What sort of farming do you engage in? We are dairy farmers and also run a herd of pedigree Hereford cattle. The farm has been in our family for at least 3-4 generations.
Talk me through a typical day? I am kept business with school and photography at the moment. On the photography end, I use social media to showcase and communicate with those interested in my work.
Tell me more about your interest in photography? From a young age, I was always to be found out and about capturing those scenic shots. Today, I enjoy taking snaps on farms and at Rural and Agricultural events too.
What are some of your future plans? I am only young, so there are no definite plans just yet. I would love to find a way for my interest in Agriculture and Photography to find common ground, so for that to happen I am considering studying Photography at third-level and I will see where that will take me. I want to expand my business overseas to the U.K.
