This year's Agritechnica was perhaps the most successful so far, with over 450,000 visitors to Hannover this year.
This broke all previous records, with more than 100,000 of those in attendance coming from outside of Germany. The event saw over 2,800 exhibitors also, extending Agritechnica's role as the leading event for agriculture and agricultural machinery. The main theme this year was “Green Future”, with many smart technologies on show, The main aim being to increase efficiency as well as conserving resources on farms.
The record number of foreign exhibitors has grown by 60% this year, with companies from 53 different countries there. They showed a full range of tractors, farm machinery, equipment, spare parts, and accessories. This year also saw the first ever participation from Manufacturers from the Indian-Asian region.
Many of the local visitors, 350,000 Germans, were farmers, contractors and machinery specialists from all over the country, Of the 100,000 foreign visitors, there were representatives from 138 different nations. These included countries such as Ireland, The Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, visitors from North America, Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa.
Agritechnica’s appeal to international politicians also increased noticeably. Numerous ministers and business delegations from all over the world learned about future strategies for agriculture at this year’s fair.
The mood of the industry at Agritechnica was one of great confidence, which was reflected in a high willingness to invest. As a visitor survey showed, more than two-thirds of the surveyed farmers, contractors and machinery rings intend to invest in the next two years. The focus of this investment was primarily linked to replacement and expansion.
Overall it was a highly successful year for Agritechnica, with visitors and innovations from all across the globe. Good news as the next Agritechnica was also confirmed to take place from the 10 to 16 November 2019 in the same venue, the Exhibition Center in Hanover.
