Beef and forward bullocks sold from €750 up to €1040 with the kg with those in spec CH and LM type bullocks meeting a very strong demand.
Store bullocks over €500kg sold from €2.10 to €2.60 per kg or up to a tops of 520kg making €1410. The lighter store bullocks again a very strong grass demand here with prices resembling from €2.10 for the HE and Angus types up to €2.65 for the Continental types with some exceptional U grade type bullocks pushing up close to €3 per kg.
Beef and forward type heifers selling from €800 to €1000 with the kg and again in spec types very much in demand while store heifers sold briskly from €2.10 for the HE and Angus up to €2.85 per kg for the majority of those 400kg to 500kg continental types with some E and U grade heifers pushing over €3 per kg.
Cull cows. Store cows selling from €200 with the kg for FR up to €6.50 per kg for continental types with some of the heavier well fleshed cows pushing up to a tops of €1450 per head with a very dear trade for those very forward type cows and a lot of custom around the ring.
Weanling bulls selling from €2.20 to €2.70 per kg with heifers from €2.20 to €2.50.
A full clearance in the calf ring with the FR selling from €65 up to €120 with the HE and Angus heifers selling from €120 to €220 with He and Angus bulls pushing up to €300 and continental bulls pushing up to €485 and that being a Charolais Bull making €485.
Overall a full clearance today in Tullow with a lively trade for all classes of cattle with a notable demand for beef and stores and also a full clearance in the calf ring.
