Vets get their kit off down under to raise funds for charity
Young vet students have taken to their birthday suits to raise funds for mental health charities in Australia.
Vet students from the University of Sydney have shed their clothes to raise funds for mental health support services in rural and remote communities in Australia.
The efforts were documented in the University’s calendar called Shedding the Stigma.
The nude calendar has been running for any years and its focus is to highlight that suicide rates were four times higher in rural and farming communities of Australia than in urban areas.
Jordan Dasilva told the Australian newspaper the Daily Telegraph that ‘we shed our clothes but we are also getting rid of the stigma of mental health.’
About 40 students took part in the shoot for this years calendar.
The calendar is on sale in Australia for €25 dollars with proceeds going to much needed mental health services for rual Australians.
