Close to 1,000 lots for Jalex sheep breeding sale

The countdown is on to the Jalex breeding sheep sale, which takes place on Thursday, July 30th at 7pm at Gloverstown Road, Randalstown.

Buyers are welcome to attend the sale with social distancing measures in place, according to the flock owner.

There is an online virtual catalogue available to view on Facebook with batches of hoggets penned up in 12s, 6s and some smaller lots to suit buyers.

“This is an excellent opportunity for sheep producers to source genuine replacements and also ideal for recipient work.”

It is the “largest sale that the Alexander team have put together yet”, with close to 1,000 entries and James firmly believes it is, without doubt, the best quality so far.

“We have been working hard to produce the type of hard-wearing ewe that we would like to use ourselves.”

“The sheep are all totally grass-fed, and their easy fleshing ability will transmit to their lambs.”

“There is also a smart selection of rams ideal to head to work now. These carry tremendous pedigree in addition to looking the part.” Added James
